Do I need Pi-Star?+

No. MericaLink installs and configures DVMHost directly on a supported Ubuntu or Raspberry Pi system.

Can I use my existing DMR ID?+

Yes. Amateur IDs are checked against RadioID.net. If no valid ID is supplied, MericaLink assigns one automatically.

Will a duplex MMDVM work in simplex mode?+

Yes. The site form supports both simplex hotspots and paired-frequency repeater-style configurations.
